I understand the public outcry when an innocent young black male is gunned down at the hands of law enforcement!! The public outcry is warranted!! Fathers and sons being stripped away from families is the devastating reality of the times in which we live. We should never minimize the tragedy of a life taken too soon! Someone recently said, "Hashtags have become the new headstones", with #AltonShelton and #PhilandoCastle added to the list; cameras capturing moments no mother should ever see. The public outcry is warranted!! There are some names, however, that are not so well known! Yet the pain of their loss stings the heart of those who knew and loved them. #KianaThomas - a 21 year old wife and mother, murdered this week at the hands of her husband. She was murdered in front of her 7 year old son.
