Break Every Chain: Increasing and Building Your Faith
Tasha Cobbs sang these words: “There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain.
What does it mean when chains are broken?
It means that everything that has held you back, held you down, and held you hostage, no longer
has the capacity to hold you.
So many of us struggle because of the ‘chains of life’: brokenness, rejection, past hurts,
addiction, financial issues, relationship struggles, and sickness. Many times these CHAINS keep
us from fully trusting God because we see no way out or no way for these issues to be resolved.
The doctor has given a bad report, the notice from the bank speaks to foreclosure, your spouse
decides they want a divorce, and you are STUCK not knowing where to turn or which way to go.
Negative self-talk is a chain that needs to be broken. What you say determines what you will see.
In the days of slavery, people ran from ‘master’ because they saw FREEDOM even though they
had not experienced it. Had the slave not made an effort to BE FREE, he never would
have been able to SEE FREEDOM. The slave had the FAITH to SEE what he could BE.
Scripture says in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Do you have the faith to BELIEVE even though you can’t SEE?
SEEING IS BELIEVING. When you start believing, CHAINS START FALLING.
God wants to break every chain that is holding you down. He wants to
free you from the bondage that is keeping you from your purpose and destiny. God can do it.
However, you have a part to play. Like that slave, you must have FAITH TO BE FREE.
Today I decree and declare that CHAINS ARE FALLING right now.
Chains of sickness...FALLING! Chains of addiction...FALLING! Chains of unforgiveness...FALLING! Chains of rejection...FALLING!
There is POWER in the name of Jesus to BREAK EVERY CHAIN! The rest is up to you.
