CHRISTIAN ETHICS

It is unethical for a Pastor/leader to plant negative seeds (words) in the mind of an individual about their leader. If that person’s leader is wrong or is in error, it is our job, as brothers and sisters in Christ, to go to that leader, not the member of the congregation, and do what we can to help them get back on track. It is difficult to bring restoration when we have engaged in conversations that bring division. The Bible tells us to RESTORE (Galatians 6:1), not destroy. If we are not going to talk TO them then let’s not talk ABOUT them. God’s Word gives clear guidelines on how to deal with issues in the church. Let’s not neglect to follow His guidelines. I grieve for what I see and I pray that we will choose agape love over hidden agendas. God’s design for the Body of Christ is that we be ONE. Embrace God's Love.....Today

Today is Thursday; a day of transition. Wednesday has been declared hump day, but on Thursday, we get over the hump and transition from the weekday to the weekend. Each morning when we awake we should embrace God’s love. His love is new every morning and to embrace it means to have joy. It means to be thankful to Him and bless His name. Yesterday is gone; tomorrow is not promised. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. So on today, no matter what obstacles get in your way; no matter what people might say or do to hurt you, remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength. Don’t look at your situation; look at your Savior. His promises are your protection and in Him should you put your trust (Psalm 91:4). Smile Strong

ONE PERSON; ONE BIG IDEA

Each year, Audrey Dinkins host THE MOST POWERFUL and EXPLOSIVE Women Conferences. She is not a pastor, evangelist, pastor’s wife, etc. In fact, I have never even heard her speak aside from giving final remarks. She LITERALLY takes a back seat and watches as others go forth to help bring healing and deliverance. She is ONE person with ONE BIG idea. Whenever crisis hits and people are hurting, I often see the question asked, “Where are the Pastors?” or “What are the pastors doing?” These are good questions with two very simple answers: ‘Visible’ and ‘A lot’.  Much of what they do is not publicized. They often take a back seat while equipping and mobilizing others to serve. They are boots on the ground doing outreach, visiting the jails, prisons, hospitals and nursing homes; serving on community boards giving insight and input into what they see can be done to make community better.
