Pray, Believe, and Watch God Move
Hey Sis! Be persistent in prayer concerning your children. Before you know it, they’ll be walking in what you prayed for. Be not weary if you don’t see it today. Simply declare: “It’s already done!”
1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “Pray without ceasing.”
As mothers, we always want what’s best for our children. When we see them heading down the wrong path, it’s natural for us to step in and try to protect them from the world and its influences. But I came to understand that while I couldn’t keep my children out of the world, I could pray for them while they were in it.
I often prayed God’s Word over my children. One of the declarations I made was, “My children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of my children.” (Isaiah 54:13) I also prayed, “My children will love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and they will love their neighbor as themselves.” (Mark 12:30-31) Another prayer I repeated often was that my children would be so on fire for God that their friends would want to know what that fire was all about.
There was a time when my children would say, “Mama, you don’t have to put the Bible in everything.” But as they grew and developed their own relationship with God, something shifted. They started putting the Bible in everything themselves!
What I came to realize was that all those years I spent praying for my children were not in vain. God was answering my prayers, and the changes started happening before I even noticed.
Sis, never stop praying for your children. You may not see results right away, but trust that God hears the prayers of the righteous. Those prayers do not go unheard. Even if it seems like nothing is changing, don’t give up. Keep praying, keep believing, and hold on to your faith. Never forget—there is nothing too hard for God.
